Project Overview
Keane, a leading provider of hydraulic fracturing services, sought to address the challenge of unexpected equipment downtime at frac sites. The company recognized the need to leverage data visualization techniques to monitor site production effectively and mitigate potential disruptions. To achieve this goal, Keane partnered with Curtis Consulting to develop a robust Equipment Health Monitoring (EHM) system.
The Challenge
The primary challenge was to design a system that could display complex, real-time frac site production data in a way that would immediately improved situational awareness without overwhelming the user. We needed to account for high-stress environments where every second counts.
Our Approach
Curtis Consulting led design thinking workshops to solidify project milestones, deliverables, and oversee the front-end user interface development team implementation.
The Solution
We developed an application platform with engaging visualization that renders data in an informative way, currently saving the customers of the client millions of dollars daily by managing downtime, receiving early warnings before issues occur which has increased uptime by 40% and improved safety protocols. Our interface that allows users to view KPIs based on site selection and needs. The new design utilizes distinct visual cues for critical alerts and streamlines communication protocols.
