Curtis Consulting led UX design and guided the design/development team for TCS in delivering M.A.P.—a cloud-based analytics portal supporting Walmart’s logistics ecosystem. The portal served as a central hub and data repository, enabling stores and vendors to access analytics and product tracking while giving users a high-level supply chain view with deep drill-down for nationwide comparisons across buying, shipping, ordering, and inventory.

The Challenge

Walmart needed a single, intuitive experience that could reliably integrate and synchronize data across a vast supply chain—while still remaining fast, scalable, and usable for complex analysis and decision-making.

As lead UX designer, Curtis Consulting managed the end-to-end experience—from user research through iterative prototyping—while partnering with engineering to ensure data integrity and performance at scale using advanced ETL, real-time integration, and cloud/microservices architecture supported by ongoing load testing and tuning.

The Solution

M.A.P. delivered a centralized portal that unifies analytics and product tracking into one experience—supporting high-level views and detailed drill-down across buying, shipping, ordering, and inventory nationwide—while exceeding reliability expectations with an 95% adoption rate within the first quarter.
